HID Braille support
HID is an acronym for Human Interface Device. Products using HID technology are automatically recognized by Windows operated computer systems. Plug and play data in- and output is therefore possible. As a keyboard obviously needs to start working immediately after being plugged in it is the most commonly known HID device.
Handy Tech is the leading developer of Braille displays with implemented HID technology. All Hand Tech Braille displays are HID devices and therefore ready for immediate use once they have been connected with a PC.
NVDA is the first screen reader which allows blind computer users direct access to any computer running on a Windows operating systems. It provides a speech and Braille output, without the need of having to install a program. When this free screen reader is started, it automatically recognizes a connected Handy Tech Braille display.
